1. Description

The EX-1452IS is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 super-speed isolation adapter with a data transfer
rate of up to 5Gbps. It provides a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A connector with 15KV ESD
surge protection and 3KV capacitive isolation for USB 3.2 Gen 1 (formerly USB 3.0),
USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. However, it only supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 hosts, USB
2.0 or USB 1.1 hosts are not supported. The EX-1452IS also offers the unique ability to
operate in bus-powered mode without an external power supply, which is useful for low-
power USB devices. In addition, a DC connector is provided for an external power
supply if more power is required at the downstream port. The EX-1452IS provides an
easy solution to isolate USB ports.
