Leave the Subnet Mask set to 0.0.0.0.

Leave the Local Address set to 0.0.0.0, as the Annex supplies
this address.

In the PPP Interface box, click on the protocols that should be
negotiated.

Click on Apply.
8.
When Quick2Config Annex displays the reset confirmation
dialog box, click on OK.
Configuring a Dial-Out Modem Port
The following procedure configures Port 3 for use with a dial-out modem
to provide a host system with access to an Ethernet host, and thus provide
access to that network.
To set the port for use as a dial-out modem:
1.
Click on the Port 3 icon in the tree view.
2.
Click on the General tab.
3.
Choose the appropriate modem in the Modem Type list.
4.
Click on Outgoing in the Direction box.
Figure 5-11
shows the modem setup.
5.
Click on Apply.
6.
When Quick2Config Annex displays the reset confirmation
dialog box, click on OK.
7.
Click on the Interfaces tab.
8.
Verify that the Remote Address field displays the correct remote
host.
9.
Type the Annex User Name and Annex Password if the remote
host requires PPP authentication.
