cation f i tt i ngs to preve nt d i rt o r foreign mate­
rial fro m enteri ng the f i tt i ngs when new g rease
is a p p l ied .
2 . Use a h i gh press u re grease g u n to fo rce i n the
new g rease u nti I clean g rease oozes from the
asse m b l y bei ng l u b ricate d .
3. Wipe away any ex cess g rease .

COOL IN G SYST E M
The coo l i n g system i n you r F o rd Tractor has been
fi l l ed with one year l i fe antifreeze .
To obta i n max i m u m eff i ciency and se rvice l ife
from the e n g i n e , it m u st o perate at the correct
tem pe ra ture. Th is is d ependent on the coo l i ng
system . The system shou l d be kept f i l led with a
50/50 so l u t i o n
of
cl ear wate r .
Chec k i n g Coo l a n t Level :
dai l y or every 1 0 h o u rs. T h i s check shou ld be
made when the e n g i n e is cold .
1 . Remove the rad iator ca p a n d v i su a l l y check the
leve l of the coo l a n t .

2 . After the coo l a n t has d ra i ne d , p l ace a water
h ose in the rad iator f i l l e r n eck a n d r u n water
through the system with the e n g i n e ru nn i n g .
Ma ke su re water is f l ow i n g fro m t h e b l o c k
d ra i n va l ve befo re start i n g the e n g i ne. W h e n the
water f l ow i n g fro m the d ra i n va l ve is f ree of
d i sco l o ration and sed i ment, sto p the engine
and re m ove the h ose . A l l ow a l l water to d ra i n
