"l u gg i n g ", w hi ch is i n d ica ted when t h e e n ­
g i ne wi l l not respond t o a t h rottle i n crease.
2. U se the lower gear ratios when p u l l i n g heavy
l oads and avo i d co n t i n u o us operat i o n at con­
sta n t en g i n e speeds. Y o u wi l l save f u e l an d
m i n i m i ze e n g i n e wea r b y se l ecti n g the correct
gear rati o for a pa rt i c u l a r operat i o n . O pera t i n g
t h e tracto r i n l ow g e a r with a l i g h t l oa d a n d
h ig h en g i ne speed wi l l waste fue l .
3. Avo i d p ro l on ged operat i o n at e i th er h i g h o r

3. Tu rn the starter sw itch t o "hea t" t o pre hea t the
p reco m b u st i o n cham bers and wait u n t i l the
cold -sta rt aid i n d icato r sh ows red (ap prox i ­
mate l y 2 0 secon d s ) .
4 . Tu rn t h e starter switch to t h e "start" pos i t i o n .
When t h e e n g i n e starts, re l ease t h e key. Check
to be su re the warn i n g l i g hts go o u t .
