Locking the mirror
Lock your camera's mirror into the up position to increase shooting speed, to avoid vibrations that might
occur when the mirror moves, to shoot with Live View in tethered mode, or to clean the inside of the
camera.
Push the mirror lock button.
The mirror moves into the up position and stays there until one of the following occurs:

You push the mirror lock button a second time
●
You push the lens release button
●
The camera system enters sleep mode
●
You turn the camera system off
The mirror up icon appears on the handgrip display:
