FIELD OF APPLICATION The series 453 control units with ball valves have been designed and developed for agricultural sector applications and can be used as fl ow by-passes inside a pressurized system to convey liquids. These valves are for professional use only. Given the modularity of the product, some types of parts may not be assembled together but are only alternatives for others. -

INSTALLATION Installation must be carried out by specialised personnel. ARAG may not be held responsible for damage to persons, animals, or devices caused by instal- lation carried out by unqualifi ed personnel. CAUTION: Connect the power supply connector to the valve only after completing correctly the hydraulic connections. -

Types of bolts To attach the valve use bolts of the following types: • M8 ISO 4014/4017 • 5/16” ANSI B18.2 Drilling template Refer to Tab. 2 for the position of the drilling points for the attachment bolts. Hydraulic connections Remove the protective caps and connect the inlet/outlet hoses to the valve, using the correct con- nections for which it is set. -

MAINTENANCE The series 453 control units for electric ball valves do not require any special maintenance. • Periodical checks: periodically check that the U-brackets are correctly inserted. • Cleaning the unit: the inside of the unit can be cleaned when the system to which the unit is connected is cleaned. -
