Safety definitions

Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
Caution! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of damage to the product, other materials or the
adjacent area.
Note! Information that is necessary in a given situation.
2.2 General power tool safety
warnings
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
● Read the warning instructions that follow before you use
the product.
● The product is capable of amputating hands and feet and
throwing objects. Failure to observe the following safety
instructions can result in serious injury.
● Do not use the product if you are tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine. This has a
negative effect on your vision, alertness, coordination and
judgement.
● Do not let any children or anyone who is unfamiliar with
the product to use it.
● Do not use the product if it is damaged.
● Do not modify the product.
● The product must only be used for its intended purpose.
● Familiarize yourself with the controls on the product and
how to use them. Learn how to stop the product quickly.
● Keep bystanders, especially children, and pets at least 20
meters from the work area. Stop the product if anyone
enters the work area.
● Ejected objects can cause serious personal injury. Plan
the work so that materials are not thrown towards roads
and bystanders.
● Make sure to always have a good foothold when you use
the product to avoid slipping or falling, especially when
walking backwards.
● Inspect the area where the product is to be operated.
Remove all doormats, sleds, boards, wires and other
foreign objects.
● Do not wear loose-fitting clothing, jewellery or watches
that can get caught in the moving parts.
● Wear approved safety glasses or a visor. The product can
eject objects that can cause permanent eye injuries.
● Make sure that all bolts and locks are tightened before
use.
● Do not make any adjustments when the product
operates.
● Keep your hands and feet away from the moving parts.
● Be careful when you operate on or when crossing
entrances, roads or pathways.
● Pay attention to traffic and hidden danger.
● Be very careful when you change direction and when
you operate on slopes.
● After striking a foreign object, stop the product and
examine it for any damage. Repair any damage before
you restart the product.
● Stop the product if it start to vibrate abnormally. Refer to
an authorized service center for reparation.
● Do not point the discharge at people or animals, and
make sure that no one goes in front of the product.
● Do not remove too much snow too quickly, this can
overload the product.
● Do not operate the product at a fast pace on slippery
surfaces. Be very careful when you go backwards or
when you pull the product towards you.
