Installation Overview
1.
Complete installation drawings are very important before
you begin to install. Review Plan and Elevation views of the
project and ensure you understand overall project configura-
tion. See example of installation drawing in Appendix A.
2.
Receive and unload. Use the Customer Receiving List to
check off the items as they are received. The line item # is
check off number for the list. An example Customer Re-
ceiving List is at the end of this document.
3.
Proper staging (by installation sequence) will greatly assist
in an efficient and effective installation. The installation
sequence is based on the number stamps on packaging.

4.
Review all pertinent installation instructions. While Narrate
is similar to other panel systems, there are unique require-
ments and sequences that must be followed for proper instal-
lation.
5.
The installation sequence should be:
A. Frames, Connectors (minus vertical trim)
B. Jumpers around Connectors
C. Connector Vertical Trim
D.
RemainingPower (and data)
E. Traxx®
F. Hinged door
G. Top Caps
H. Ceiling Power Entry
I.
Frameless Glass
J.
End Panels
K. Vertical Trim
L. Tiles
M. Privacy Door
N. Off-Module Connections
O. Wireway Covers
P. Worksurfaces
Q. Overheads
R. Undersurface Storage
S. Accessories
T. Building Power Connection
6.
Coordinate with data technicians to run data cables (top rec-
ommended) immediately after structure is installed and be-
fore tiles are put in place.
7.
Electrical Jumpers that go through connectors must be ran
prior to Appling the Connector's Vertical trim.
8.
Frames should first be attached to a connector. The number
of bolts is allocated as follows: four for each side of a 6 high
and 7 high connector, three for a 5 high connector, and two
for 4 high, 3 high and 2 high connectors. These numbers of
bolts also apply for frame to frame connections.
Proper product installation, in accordance with these instructions, is the responsibility of the installing agent.
If you have any questions concerning these instructions, please call Kimball Customer Care.

Assembly Instructions
9.
Power should be installed prior to installing the bottom tiles.
Note: Power harness and jumpers can be connected before
installing them in the non-powered frames. Building Power
should never be connected to the panel until entire system
installation is complete and mechanically connected. The
two power systems cannot be combined (green, blue or yel-
low label).
10. Leveling is very critical since the tiles "float" on the frames.
Preliminary leveling should be done as the frames are as-
sembled, then refined after the mid frame supports and
Traxx are installed. Final leveling will need to be done after
the tiles are inserted and the structure settles into the floor.
11. Vertical trim must be installed prior to tile installation and
must align with Top Caps.
12. Wood End trim bolts are allocated as follows: four for 6 high
and 7 high verticals, three for 5 high vertical, and two for 4
high, 3 high and 2 high verticals. Note: See page 2 for the
correct bolt usage. Make sure to turn down the drill torque.
13. Tiles should be placed directly under Traxx. When inserting
fabric tiles, fabric should be completely under Traxx® to
prevent fabric from "rolling" off face of tile. After installa-
tion, ensure all fabric is completely pushed into Traxx®
along the top and bottom, pushing into place with putty knife
or credit card.
14. Wireway covers should not be placed on the frame until the
bottom tile is in place.
15. Off-Module connections mount to the completed frame. It is
strongly recommended that all Traxx, tiles and wireway co-
vers be installed on the frame behind the off module connec-
tion prior to attaching the off-module connection. Note: Pow-
er and data cannot be routed into or out of an off-module
frame.
