instructions : Connect pin 2 to 3 on external RS-232 connector. Press SELECT key.

The purpose of this test is to verify the integrity of the RS-232 channel. The
transmit and receive pins need to be connected together on the rear panel RS-232
connector. This action will allow the serial communication channels to transmit
data and receive back the data that is sent.

. Press the SELECT key to run the test. Transmitted characters are compared
to received characters until the entire test string "THE QUICK BROWN
FOX JUMPED OVER THE LAZY DOGS BACK" has been sent.
. The status line will indicate if the test passes. If the data is received incorrectly
or data is missing the test will fail and display "Incorrect or no character
received". The test will also fail if the transmit and receive are not jumped
together.
. Remove jumper.
. Press the DONE
key to exit the test.
