3.3.2 Premium version
Three additional analog inputs are avalaible:
1) Input B2 is an analog input, whose typical application is for proportional
2) Input B10 is an analog input, whose typical application is for steer
3) Input B3 is an analog input. It should be in a 3 wire configuration.
3.4 Speed feedback
The motor control is based upon the motor speed feedback (sensored software).
The speed transducer is an incremental encoder, with two phases shifted at 90°.
The encoder can be of different types:
-
power supply:
-
electric output: open collector ( NPN), push-pull
-
standard (A and B) output.
For more details about encoder installation see also chapter 4.2.5.

Note: The encoder resolution and the motor poles pair (the controller can
handle), is specified in the home page display of the handset showing following
headline:
A3MT2B
That means:
A3MT= ACE-3 traction controller (M stands for "µC Master", S for "µC Slave")
(A3MP= ACE-3 pump controller)
2 = motor's poles pair number
B = 64 pulses/rev encoder
The encoder resolution is given by the last letter in the following list:
A = 32 pulses/rev
B = 64 pulses/rev
C = 80 pulses/rev
D = 128 pulses/rev
3.4.1 Sin/Cos sensor / Hall sensors
The ACE3 Premium provides a special interface to connect an absolute sin/cos
sensor (PMAC) or Hall sensors (BLDC) for special applications that use
brushless motor.
For more details about sensor installation see also chapter 4.2.6 and 4.2.7.
