  • Page 2 1. INTRODUCTION Your Caddy furnace can be fitted with a side-mounted blower configuration kit. Note that installation can be done on either side of the furnace. Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY IF A CONNECTION IS TO BE MADE WITH OPTION PA01106 - ELECTRIC ELEMENT.
  • Page 3 3. INSTALLING THE PA08587 BLOWER SIDE KIT 1. Remove the bottom decorative panel on the desired side by removing its 4 plastic rivets 31366. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the rivet head away from the washer. See photos below. Set the plastic rivets aside.
  • Page 4 2. Remove the bottom panel of the furnace by unscrewing the metal screws 31048. Set aside the metal screws. 3. Screw on the adapter to connect the blower duct extension, using the 31048 metal screws previously set aside. 46368A 2024-03-14...
  • Page 5 4. Remove the wire cover and junction cover unscrewing metal screws 31048. Set aside the metal screws. 5. Cut off the corner of the wire cover (!) on the side where the blower extension will be. 46368A 2024-03-14...
  • Page 6 6. Remove the rear connector from the furnace by unscrewing the metal screws 31048. The cover can be recycled. Set aside the metal screws. 7. Secure the furnace back panel in place using the 9 metal screws 31048 previously set aside. 46368A 2024-03-14...
  • Page 7 11. Attach the deflector (!) to the blower housing using 9 metal screws. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO YOUR FURNACE. PSG accepts no responsibility or liability if this condition is not met. 12. Secure the blower housing to the side duct using 10 - 31048 metal screws.
  • Page 8 CAUTION! FOR REGULAR INSTALLATION 13. Secure the blower housing to the side duct using 10 - 31048 metal screws. 14. Make sure that the bottom lip of the blower housing fits over the edge of the duct (!). 15. Remove the 2 remaining decorative side panels by removing the 4 plastic rivets (each) 31366.
  • Page 9 16. Pass the blower extension between the blower housing and the main circuit board. Refer to the pictures to find out how and where to fit the extension lead. 46368A 2024-03-14...
  • Page 10 17. Connect the blower to the extension lead (Detail A). If the ECM, PA08582, blower is used, connect the insulated 1/4" connector (!). 18. Connect the furnace circuit board to the blower extension cable (Detail B). If the PA08582 ECM blower is used, connect the insulated 1/4"...
  • Page 11 19. Using 2 self-tapping 30163 screws, attach the conduit to conceal the fan extension. WARNING: Make sure the metal tab (!) is tucked under the "bridge" of the wiring conduit. 46368A 2024-03-14...
  • Page 12 20. Install the grommet a top the duct and center it so as to hide the fan extension. Use 4 metal screws 31048. 21. OPTIONAL: Remove the hachured area (!) if the electrical element PA01106 is also installed. Caution, be careful not to pinch any wires! 22.
  • Page 13 23. Unscrew the panel on top of the blower and position it on the side as shown. Screw back into place. 24. Install the filter support a top the blower. (Where the panel used to be.) Secure with 30154 machine screws.
