How to replace your iX-1 meter
Once you have received your replacement postage meter, complete the steps below to replace and return
the damaged meter.

Power down and remove the meter
Ensure your iX-1 is in sleep
mode. The power indicator
light will be amber when the
system is in sleep mode.
Disconnect the power cable
from the wall outlet. This will
turn off your iX-1.
Turn the iX-1 on its back and
open the meter cover located
on the bottom of the system.
Remove the meter (b).

Unpack and install your meter
Remove the replacement
meter from the box and place
the original unit into the box
to return.
Insert the replacement meter
(b) by positioning it vertically,
with the contacts down facing
to the rear and the labels
facing towards you.
Close the cover.

Power up the mailing system
Plug the power cable into the
wall outlet.
The system will power up
automatically.
Ensure the power indicator
light is green.
If the indicator light is amber,
press the power button
to wake up your iX-1.
Follow the screen prompts to
complete the replacement of
your postage meter.
Return the original unit
Prepare the box for shipping and
affix the prepaid return label.
Please return the original unit
within ten business days to avoid
being charged the full replace-
ment value of the equipment.
Your iX-1 is now ready to use.
