Nozzle Selection and
Preliminary Burner
Settings
See table below for oil nozzle selections and initial
burner settings. Follow Burner Manual and Heating
Appliance Manual for installation of nozzle if not
supplied with appliance.
The settings in Table 1 are approximate settings for
initial adjustment of the burner. Final adjustments must
be made using proper test equipment by a qualified
installer. All burner installation and adjustments must
adhere to the guidelines in the burner manual and
heating appliance manual.

- Page 2 Setting Combustion Air Using the Carlin Air Boot The air band is set at a reference starting point, confirm setting is correct for desired firing rate (see Table 1, page 1). This can be viewed through the window at the top of the air boot (FIG. 1).
