Introduction

Thank you for selecting the MAC One VDO Grid Mount System from Martin
Mount System provides an easy solution to create lines or matrices of MAC One (and other) fixtures.
In this system, MAC One fixtures are installed in MAC One VDO Grid Mount Rings, which are then
locked together using the tool-free VDO Couplers.
The VDO Coupler system is fully compatible with Martin VDO Atomic Bold and VDO Atomic Dot
fixtures, enabling mixed lines or matrices of fixtures to be created.
Within the MAC One VDO Grid Mount System, all fixtures have 300 mm (11.81 in.) center-to-center
spacing.
At the top of a MAC One VDO Grid Mount System line or matrix, a Dual VDO Header or two Single
VDO Adapters are used to suspend the system.
The Dual VDO Header supports two columns of fixtures and is 568 mm (22.36 in.) wide. It features
two M12 sliding suspension points that can be used to attach standard rigging clamps. The Dual VDO
Header is fitted with an end-to-end alignment system, which makes it easy to create a continuous
matrix of fixtures without gaps or misalignment.
The Dual VDO Header has a safety cable attachment point for securing the header to a supporting
structure such as a truss with a safety cable. Each column of fixtures must be secured to the
supporting structure by its own set of safety cables that are linked together, forming a chain. Each of
these safety cables must be looped through a safety cable attachment point on a fixture so that every
fixture in the column is secured.
Two Single VDO Adapters support one column of fixtures. The Single VDO Adapter is fitted with an
M12 threaded hole which can be used to attach a standard rigging clamp.
The MAC One VDO Grid Mount System features:

Before installing MAC One, VDO Atomic Dot and/or VDO Atomic Bold fixtures with the MAC One VDO
Grid Mount System, read the user documentation of these fixtures and respect the safety precautions
and safety limits given in that user documentation and in this manual.
