Aligning Dual VDO Headers

Warning! Dual VDO alignment guides are for alignment purposes only. Do not
use them to support weight. Always use the alignment guides when installing
Dual VDO Headers end-to-end.
When installing two or more Dual VDO Headers end-to-end, use the integrated alignment guide [F] to
ensure even spacing and correct alignment.
The alignment guide is located in one end of the Dual VDO Header.
To use the alignment guide:
1. Press and hold buttons [B] to release the alignment guide.
2. Slide the alignment guide into the opening at the end of the
next Dual VDO Header until the guide hits the stop.
3. Release the buttons [B] and check that the ends of the
VDO Headers are now 32 mm (1.26 in.) apart. If they are
not, repeat the operation until the distance is correct.

Cable runs

When laying out power, DMX and/or Ethernet cables to the MAC One Grid Mount System, allow
68 cm (26.8 in.) of cable length between fixtures to avoid cable fouling fixture heads during pan and
tilt movement.
See illustrations on right. Attachment points
(arrowed) are provided for cable ties. Use these
to fasten cables securely and out of the way of
moving heads.
To route cables safely and efficiently:
1. Connect cables between fixtures in vertical
lines.
2. When installing more than one column of
fixtures, route cables to the next column
either at the top or the bottom of the
columns.
3. Use cable ties threaded through the cable
tie attachment points to fasten cables to
rings.
4. Check carefully that no moving head will
collide with a cable when heads move
through their full pan and tilt range.
