FILTER
CUTOFF: Sets the Filter's Cutoff frequency. Cutoff is the frequency, above which, the
harmonic content of a sound is filtered out. The higher the Cutoff setting, the higher the
frequencies that are allowed through the Filter, creating a brighter sound. Filter frequency
range is from 20Hz to 20kHz.
RESON: Sets the amount of the Filter's Resonance. Resonance emphasizes the frequency area
around the Cutoff frequency. At high Resonance settings, the Filter will self-oscillate and
generate its own pitch, which is set by the Cutoff frequency.
When Resonance is introduced, a drop on the level of the Oscillators is expected.
To counterweight this volume drop, please check the Drive Section. (see page 24)
ENV: Sets the amount of modulation from the Envelope to the Filter's Cutoff frequency. The
ENV knob is bipolar, meaning that it can apply both positive and negative (inverted
ENVELOPE) modulation. When the knob is in the center position, there is no modulation
applied. If the ENV knob is rotated to the left from the center position, negative modulation
occurs, whereas when the ENV knob is rotated to the right from the center position, you get
positive modulation.
