Using Constants
Use the following ranges for the constants when specifying constants for oper-
ands.
–2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647 (8000 0000 to 7FFF FFFF hexadecimal)
When constants are used, the number of words of operands is fixed at 2 words.
Up to 256 formulas can be registered in the PT's mathematical table. Formulas
are registered in the mathematical table in order beginning with number 0 and
ending with number 255. (The formula numbers are continuous, it is not possible
to skip any numbers.)
When operation is started, the PT automatically executes the calculations in or-
der from the beginning of the mathematical table, as shown in the following flow-
chart. All of the calculation results are written at the same time after the last cal-
culation is executed. (Only calculation results that have changed are written.)

1. Before executing the calculations, the PT examines all of the formulas and
reads all of the values to be used as operands.
2. The PT executes the calculations registered in the mathematical table. The
calculations are executed in the order that they are registered.
3. Once all of the calculations registered in the mathematical table have been
executed, the PT determines which results have changed since the last time
Start PT operation
The PT reads the operands of all of
the formulas in the mathematical
table.

The previous results are
compared to the new results.
Results that have changed are
overwritten with the new results.
