Follow the procedure below when using the NT620S/620C for the first time or
when changing the system.
A dedicated system program is required in order to use the memory link. Refer
to 2-4 "Installing the System Program" (page 30).
Be sure to install the system program in advance.
Create the screen data to be displayed on the NT620S/620C by using a support
tool.
For the screen data creation, refer to the "NT-series Support Tool Operation
Manual" (V028-E1-01).
Turn ON the power to the NT620S/620C.
When no screen data has been registered, the "SYSTEM MENU" will be dis-
played. If the NT620S/620C enters the RUN mode, press appropriate touch
switches to display the System Menu.
Select a System Menu and initialize the NT620S/620C unit memory.
Select the System Menu and set the conditions for communications with the PC
using the memory switch.
Connect a support tool to the NT620S/620C and transfer the screen data from
the support tool to the NT620S/620C.
For the connection of a support tool, refer to Section 2-3 "Connecting to the Sup-
port Tool". (page 29)
Connect to the PC and start the operation.
If an error has occurred during operation, check the I/Os, settings, etc. referring
to this guide.
When the NT620S/620C is started, it will enter the RUN mode if system settings
and screen data registration have been completed. If no screen data has been
registered or the screen data are destroyed, the System Menu will be displayed.
Before turning ON the power, check the following DIP switch settings on the
NT620S/620C.
S SW2-3 "Switch to the System Menu enabled/disabled" is set to OFF (enabled).
S SW2-1 "Screen data forced initialize Yes/No" is set to No (ineffective).
S DIP switch 8 "System program delete" is set to OFF (normal operation mode).
For the DIP switch settings of the unit, refer to the "DIP switch settings" (page 24).
