Use the methods shown below to connect the Terminating Resistors to the
trunk line. Refer to 2-4-8 Connecting the Terminating Resistors (Terminators)
for wiring details.

1. Connect a Terminating Resistor to the Tap when there is a T-branch Tap or
Power Supply Tap at the end of the trunk line.
2. The Terminal-block Terminating Resistor method can be used when a
node is connected at the end of the trunk line with the multi-drop connec-
tion method.
3. Use this method when there is an Environment-resistive Slave at the end
of the trunk line.
4. Use this method when using Flat Cable.
Use any one of the methods shown below to ground the network by connect-
ing the cable's shielding to an acceptable ground (100 Ω or less.) Ground the
network at one point only.
Refer to 2-4-9 Grounding the Network for wiring details.

work may not operate properly if other cable is used.
