Positioning the Flow Baffle

The following figures are only recommendations
for use. Adjustments vary by grass type, moisture
content, and height of grass.
Note:
If the engine power draws down and the
mower ground speed is the same, open up the baffle.
Position A
This is the full rear position. Use this position for the
following.
Short, light grass mowing conditions.
Dry conditions.
Smaller grass clippings.
Propelling grass clippings farther away from the
mower.

Position B
Use this position when bagging. Always align it with
the blower opening.

Position C
This is the full open position. Use this position for the
following:
Tall, dense grass mowing conditions.
Wet conditions.
Lowering the engine power consumption.
Increased ground speed in heavy conditions.
Note:
This position is similar to the benefits of the

Toro SFS mower.

Positioning the Seat

The seat can move forward and backward. Position
the seat where you have the best control of the
machine and are most comfortable.
To adjust the seat, move the lever sideways to unlock
seat
(Figure
33).
