12.4.3 Installation SITRANS FC1x0 (Option S30)
For the SITRANS FC1x0 the sensor can be installed on a DN50 (2") pipe by using a
bracket and U-bolt assy (order code position -Z, option S30).
The bracket contains vibration dampers, but for extreme cases of vibration stronger

damping arrangements may be necessary to ensure best performance.

12.4.4 Installation recommendation for viscosity function
In order to use this function an external differential pressure transmitter (separate order)
measuring the pressure difference at the flow line is necessary. The accuracy of the
estimated viscosity is strongly depending on the accuracy of the pressure transmitter and
the correct position and implementation of the pressure taps.
The needed pressure taps have to be placed at the flow line at approximately 4D – 5D

upstream and downstream of the SITRANS FC sensor. The differential pressure
transmitter is directly connected via analog input to the SITRANS FC transmitter (analog
input function must be available).
