Step 2. Install the built-in battery in reverse order.
When installing:
• Ensure that the connector is attached firmly.
• Ensure that the base cover assembly is secured in place. Otherwise, the battery connection may fail.

Keyboard

Follow the instructions to replace the keyboard.
Notes:
• You might be instructed to slide the keyboard frame forward or backward in some of the following steps.
In this case, ensure that you do not press or hold the keys while sliding the keyboard frame. Otherwise,
the keyboard frame cannot be moved.
• If your replacement keyboard is not shipped with the special tool, you may use alternative pry tools to
remove it.
For access, remove these FRUs in order:
• "ThinkPad Pen Pro (for ThinkPad L13 2-in-1 Gen 5 only)" on page 62
• "Base cover assembly" on page 63
