REPLACING THE COVER AND CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY
(Model 231-0391
NOTE:
Parts
with ref. nos. 20A-20H are included in
the cover and circuit board assembly
(20).
To
order 220-283.
replace these parts on Heater Model 231-039,
the old cover (20A) into an upright position. See Fig 8.
Remove the six screws
(3)
and lockwashers (1). Swing
the threaded terminal in the lower right-hand corner of
Remove the old screw (20C) and lockwasher (20D) from
the circuit board (208) to disconnect the black input
wire (R). See Fig 9. Discard the screw and lockwasher.
To remove the wiring harness (261, disconnect the
female connector (Y) from the male wnnector in the
lower left-hand corner of the circuit board (208) and
unscrew the thermistor

on the other end of the
harness from the heater housing. See Fig 9.

Remove the nut (4) from the right heat element terminal
(W) and remove the small white wire (2061.
Remove the nut (4) from the l e f t heat element terminal

and remove the heavier black wire (20Hl. Discard
the cover and circuit board assembly. Save the nuts (4).
