SBI-6429P-C3N SuperBlade Module User's Manual
Hard Disk Drives
The SBI-6429P-C3N blade unit accommodates up to three 2.5" SATA/SSD/NVMe hard
disk drives, which are mounted in drive "trays". The drives can be hot-swapped and
removed or replaced without powering down the blade unit they reside in. The three
drives can be used to set up a RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 array. These drives use a blue color for
the Blade HDD active LED. See

Caution: To maintain proper airflow, both hard drive bays must have drive carriers inserted
during operation whether or not a drive is installed in the tray.
WARNING: Enterprise level hard disk drives are recommended for use in Supermicro
