    One enclosure for the SBI-4429P-T2N blade module can hold up to 14 blade units in the 4U SBE-414E-222/ 422 or SBE-414EB-222 model enclosures (4x2200W power supplies required for full enclosure capacity).

    • 4U SBE-414E-222/422 • 4U SBE-414EB-222 The SBI-4429P-T2N blade module also requires a power supply in the enclosure to run the blade module. Available SuperBlade power supplies can be found on the Supermicro website at https://www.supermicro.com/products/SuperBlade/powersupply/. Density A maximum of 14 blade modules may be installed into a single blade enclosure. Each blade enclosure is a 4U form factor, so a standard 42U rack may accommodate up to ten enclosures with 140 blade modules, or the equivalent of 140 1U servers.

    An operating system (OS) must be installed on each blade module. Blades with Microsoft Windows OS and blades with Linux OS can both occupy and operate within the same blade enclosure. Refer to the SuperMicro web site for a complete list of supported operating systems.
