BOILER FLUE ASSEMBLY

1 . Apply a bead of silicone sealant approximately 6 mm

2. lift the appliance onto the wall mounting plate. Engage
the two sup port t abs into the slots in the back ot t he
appliance casing. Locate t he three

oft cap on the wall mounting plate into the back of the
appliance casin g. Fas te n the appliance to the wall
mounting plate w it h t h e three M6 nut s and washers
previously removed.
3 . Remove the fan and flue ho od assem bly;
{al Disconnecttheelectricalconnectiontothetanattheplug
in terminal strip.
(b) Ease the fle xible tube f rom the left hand si de ofthfl
tan
housing.
(c ) RemovetheM5screwholdingthe fanhousingtot heboi:er
caaing.
!dl Slide the fan assembly out of t he boiier casing .
(e) Unscrew the two M4 w ing nuts and washers, one from
each side of t he flue hood assembly. Ease the f lue hood
assembly oH the heat exchanger and out of the boiier
casing .

Unscrew the two M4 extension w ing bolts and remove
the f lue duct clamping ring from t he f lue d uct housing .
Retain t he f an assembly and M Sscrcw, M4 wing nuts and
washers, flue hood assembly, M 4 exter.sion w ing baits
and c Lamping r ing. T ake care not to d amag e t he
componen ts.

Cu t an d assemble the air duct as follows:
(a)
Measure the d istance L along the horizonta l centre line
from t he outs ide of t he appliance to

he out side of thew all.
See Fig . 22 . The overall length of 11 0 mm (4.5 in .)
diameter standard air du ct for the installation will be:

(b) Reduce the lengt h of the st!ln dard air duct t o 900 mm
135.5in.l Cut surplus from pla in end. Donat cut expanded
end. See Fig.

lc) Reduce the length of the extension air duct by cutting f rom
the end without holes until the required overall length after
engagemen t is obt ained . See Fig . 18.
(d) FuUy engage the extension airduct intotheexpandedend
of the standard air duct . Ensure theoveralllengthiscorrect
and t he t wo holes in the ext ension air d uct are po sitioned
at t he extreme
end .

Using the t wo holes in the expanded end as a guide. drill
two 3 mm diameter holes. Appl y a smear of silicone
sealant around the outside o f t h e ex t ension duct.
Reassemble and secu re with the 1wo self tttpping screws

self tapp ing screws. See Fig. 19 .

ducts.

(c) Sfide t he flue clamping ri ng omo the standard f lue duct
and locate at the expanded end of the duct with t he
chamfer against the expanded e nd. See Fig .
18.
(d )
Apply a s mear of siticone sealant around the outside of
t he standard flue d uct. Reassemble and secure with the
t wo self-tapping screws supplied. See Fig .

Rearrar.ge t he flue du ct housing posit ion for side flue
appli cation. Rep lace the f lue hood assembly, fit the flut::
assembly and repl!jce the fan assembly as follows :-

I Unscrew t he four M 5 screws securing the 11ue duel
housing onto the f lue hood. Rea;range the flue outlet t o
the required side flue positi on . Rep lace the 1our
M5
screws .

are correctly located and secure w ith the

(c) Apply

smear of silicone sealant around the inside of the
air duct soc ket on the s ide of the boiler .

From the outside, case the f lue assembly t hrough
the
hole
prepared in t he wall . Pass the f lue d uct clamping ring
thtough
t he air d uc t socket as shown in Fig .

Fully
engagetheairductintothe socket on the side otthe boiler.
Tighten the clamping screw. See Fig. 2 2.
(e) Assemble t he f lue duct to t he f lue du ct housing
and
f ix
together with the clamping r ing and the two M4extension
wing bolts pre viously removed . See Fig . 1 5 .
(f)
Make good external brickwork or wall rendering . The
ir.side edge of
t he rolled channel f ixed to the flue term inal
will protrude approximately 10
mm

Make good internal

flue assembly is in a horizontal p lain.

Replace t he f an assembly and secure w ith t he M4 screw
previously removed.
{h I Replace the f lexible t ube totheconnect ion at the left hand
side of the fan housing .
!il Reconnect the electrical conne ction to the tan
at
the plug
in terminal strip.
7 . Remove the Jc nockout area in t he cabin et s ide pa nel to f it
over the air duct. Remove an y sh arp edges.

Replace the cabinet side panel. Locate
the
bottom key hole
slot overthe
M5
screw and tighten . To engage panel it will
need to be t ilted to allow engag ement onto t he bottom
screw . Screwthe M5capti ve extension screw at the top
inside edge of the side pa nel to t hfl rear of the app lian ce.
