Sf. BOILER FLUE ASSEMBLY

1. Apply a bead of silicone sealant approximately 6 m m

c ap and against the w all mounting pl ate. See Fig. 6 .

tt"le appliance onto the watl mounting plate . Engage
the two support tabs into the slots in the back of the
appliance casing. Locate
the three M6
studs and blanking
oH cap on the w all mounting plate into the back of the
appliance casing . Fasten the appliance to
the
wa ll
mounting plate w ith the three M6 nuts and washers
previously removed .
3. Remo ve the tan and f lue hood assembly:
(a) Disconnec t the electrical connect ion to the fan at the plug -
in termmal strip.
(b) Ease the f lexible t ube from the left hand side of the fan
housing.
lc) Remove t he M 5screw holding the fan housing to t he boiler
c.sslng.
(d)
Slide t he fan assembly out of the boiler casing.
(el Unscrew t he two M4 w ing nuts and wa shers,
one
from
each
sid~
of the flue h ood assembly. Ease the ftue hood
assembly off the heat exchanger ana out of t he boiler
casing.
(fl Unscrew the two M4 extension w ing bolts and remove
the f lue duct clamping ring from the flue duct housing .
Retain the f an assembly and M 5 screw , M4 w ing nuts and
washers, f lu e hood assembly, M4 extension w ing bolts
and c'lamping ring . Take ca r e not t o damage the
components .
4. Cu1 and assemble the air duct as follows:
Ia l Measure the distance L along the horizontal flue centre
line from the outside of t he appliance to t he outside
of
the
wall. See Fig . 22. The overa ll length of 11 0 mm 1 4 .5 in.}
diameter air duct for the installation w ill be L

(c) Reduce the length ofthe extension airduct by cutting from
the eod w it hout holes um il t he required overall length after
engagement is obtained . See Fig . 2.0.
(d) Fully engage the extension air duc t into t he expanded end
of the standard air duct. Ensure the overall length is correct
~ nd t hetwoholes in the ext ension air duc t ate positioned
at the extreme end.

Using t he two holes in the expanded end as
a
guide, drill
two 3 mm diameter holes. Apply a sm ear
of
silicone
sealant around the o ut side o f t he extension duct .
Reassemble and secure with the two self t apping screws
sup plied. See Fig. 20.
(f)
Slide the flue terminal into the air duct up to the rolled stop
channel.
NOTE:
The flue t erminal adaptor Is not required and must
be discarded.
Using t he holes in the extension air duct as a guide, drill
through the f lue terminal with t he 3 mm drill supplied.
Secure the assembly together with the two No. 6 x 1 0 mm
self tapping scn:ws. See Fig . 2 1.
5 . Cut <lnd assemble t he f lue duct as follo w s:
(a)
Do not reduce the length of the standard tlue duct. See
Fig . 20.
lbl Fully engage the standard flue duct into the expanded end
of th e extension flue du ct . Using the t wo holes in the
expanded end as a guide drill two 3 mm diameter holes
u sing t he drill supplied. Disengage the flue ducts .
(c I Slide t he flue clamping ring onto the st andard flue duct
and locate at the eKpanded end oi the d uct w ith the
chamfer against the expanded end. See
Fig. 20.

(d} Apply a smear of silicone sealant around the outside of
the standard flue duct. Reassemble and secure w it h the
two self-tapping screws supplied . See Fig. 20.

to t his djmension by cutting surplus f rom the plain· end of
the extension piece . Fit the support spider onto the
extension f lue duct and slide into position to fini sh against
theexp anded endofthe extensionflueduct.

Assemble the flue duct into the air duct and
engage
the
end of the f lue duct into t he five terminal. See Fig. 21 .

The flue duct should slide into

approximately 100 mm (4.0 in .\. See Fig. 19.
6. Rearrange the flue duct housing position for side f lue
application. Replace the flue hood assembly.

(a) Unscrew tt'le four M 5 screws securing the flu e duct
housing onto the flue hood. Re arr ange the f lue outlet t c
the required side flue position . Replace the four M5
screws.
I b) Replace the flue hood assembly . Ensure the t wo M4 bolts
;ne corre ctly loc ated and secure w ith the two M4 wing
nuts and washers previously removed.

air duc t socl<.e t on the side of the boiler.
(d) From the outside. ease the flue assembly th rough the hole
prepared in the wall. Pass the flue duct clamping ring
through the air duct socket as shown in Fig . 23. Fully
engage the air duct into t he socket on the side of the boiler.
Tighten t he clamping screw. See Fig. 22.
(e} Assemble the f lue duct t o the f lu e duct housing and fix
together wit h the clamping ring and the two M4extension
wing bolts previously removed . See Fi g. 15.

will protrude approximately 10 mm

f lue assembly is in a horizontal plain.

Replace the fan assembly and secure with
the M4
screw
previously removed.
!h) Repl ace the flexible tube t o the connection at the left hand
side of the fan housing .

in terminal strip.
7 . Remove the knock out area in the cabinet side panel t o f it
over t he
air
duct. Rem ove any sharp edge s.
8. Replace the cabinetsidepanal. Locate the bonomkeyhole
slot over t he M5 screw and tighten. To engage panel it will
need to be t ilted to allow engagement onto the bottom
screw. Screw theM 5 captive exten sion screw at the top
in side edgeoftheside panel to t he rear ofthe appliance.
9. Fit the M 5 hexagon headed screw prev iously retained to
t he front inside edge of each side panel and loca tei1 to the
electrical control p anel.
10. Complete t he remainder of the installation as detailed in
Section 8, par agraph 1 5 onwards .
