9. TO REPLACE T HE PILOT FILTER
If problems are experienced with t he pilot filter t hen fit a new
gas valve as described in Instruction 8 preceding.
10. TO
REPLACE THE HOT WATER FLOW SENSOR

[a)
Turn off t he mains col d water supply at t he service cock.
(b) Pu ll off t he two red wires from t he flow sensor terminals
and unsc rew the f low sensor from the fitt ing.
(C)
Refit a new sensor. Reconnect the two red w ires in any
order.

(a) Turn off the mains cold water supply and drain down the
domestic and heat ing water systems.
NOTE :
A drain cock is f itted to the rea r right hand side of
the hot water hea t e)(changer. See Fig . 40.
(bl Release the two con nections made on to t ne water
diverting valve f rom
the
black cylindrical heat exchanger.

(d) Unscrew the 15 mm compre ssion iitting nut securing the
hot water out let connect ion .

Unscrew
the 2:2. mm
compression fitting securing
the
boiler
return con nection into t he
~eft
hand rear of t he heat
exchanger.
(f)
Remove the three M4 taptite screws holding
the heat
exchanger
to
the side brackets.
(g) Remove the heat exchanger f rom tho appliance and
unscrew t he flow sensor f rom t he fitting.

Refit the flow sensor t o the replacement heat exchanger.
(i) Replace
the
heat eJCc; hanger in the reverse order using new
sealing wa shers
on t
he two con nec tions
ma de onto the
water d iverting valve.
(j) Opon all radia tor vnlvcs and f ill the system venting as
necessary. The appliance is 1itted with a manual air vent
on the outlet of the blacl< he<Jt exchanger . See Fig. 40.
12. TO REPLACE THE WATER DIVERTING VAl VE

{a) Rotate the body of the micro-switc h assembly a(ound until
access is gained to the retaining ei r-e lip at the opposite and
to tne
cord strain relief .
