Using a pair of fine nosed pliers, pull t he cir ·clip off and
remove the m icro -switch assembly from the valve .

Drain down t he heating and domestic water systems .
Remove the hot water heat exchanger described in Part 11 ,

f and g.

Undo t he rema ining water connections to the diverting
valve and remove complete with lhefibre sealing washers.

Reassemble a new valve in the reverse order replacing the
fibre washers betw een each connection. No other sealing
compound should be used.
(fl Open all radiator va lves and 1il1 the system venting as
necessary. The appliance is fitted with a manu<iol air vent
on the outlet of the black heat exchanger. See Fig .
40.

TO REPLACE THE FLOW REGULATOR

(a! Turn off the mains cold water supply at t he service cock.
Ur\Screw the flow reg ulator housing union nut.
(b) Ease the co ld water connection aside and remove t he
sealing washer, wire filter and plastic flow regulator from
tne housjng . If this Is prevented because t!'le pipe work is
fixed:

TO REPLACE THE CIRCULATING PUMP

Turn off the isolating vaives mounted on the inlet and outlet
of the pump.

Hinge t he electrical tfay up ar.d clip back into place. Secure
the electrical t ray to one of t he side panels w ith the original
M5he.xagon headed screw located on thefrontinsideedge
of the side panel.
(d) Undo the two union nuts and remove t he pump from
between the pipewmk .
(e) Supporting the pump so as not to strain the
electric;;~
I cable,
remove t he electrical cover and disconnect the eiectrica!
w ires. Tal<e note of t he w ire positions.
If) Install a replacement circulating pump with new sealing
washers in revers!! order.
NOTE: The direction offlow on the circulating pump should
point from lefT to right. The repla cement pump if f itted w ith
speed adjustment should be set at maximum speed.

TO REPLACE THE WATER DIVERTING VALVE
MICRO-SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(Figs. 39 and 41 l
(a) Rotate the body of the micro-switch assembly around until
access is gained to the retaining cir-clip at the opposite end
to the cord strain relief.

Using a pair of f ine nosed pliers pull t he cir-clip off and
remove t he micro -switc h assembly from the vaive.
(c ) Hinge the electrical tray up and temporarily clip back into
posit ion. To ensure the electrical tray does not drop. replace
one of the M5 hexagon headed screws t o t he front inside
edge of one side panel and screw finger tight .
fdl Remo11e the thermostat kno!> by grasping firmly and pulling
forward off t he thermost at spindle.
(e) Remove t he two self tapping screws f rom t he top edge of
the facia and two self-tapping screws trom u nder the
electrical tray, recessed in two clearan ce holes. which hold
t he f ront facia in position.
(H Pull t he facia forward to disengage it f rom the electrical
tray. Then, supporting the facia. release the plug·in terminal
sttip from inside t he electr ical cover which connects1he
3-position switch or programmer assembly if this has been
fitted. Unplug the Molex connector at the driver board.

(g) Disconnect the grey, white, red, orange and vio let wires
ot th e m icro-sw it c h assem bly w ir ing harness f rom
1erminals4, 1, 10,11 ar.d 12respectively.

(e) Remove the facia assembly by following Instruction 15 d ,

(f) Remove the central clamping nut. Push the t hermostat
back to disengage t he spindle and ease away from t he
support bracket sufficiently to gain access t o the electrical
connections.

t hrough the hole in the rear of t he electrical cover.

Fit a new thermostat in the reverse order.

at the front inside edge of each side

(a) Pull off the two flexible t ubes f rom t he bottom o f the
pressure switch,
(bl Pull ofi the 1hree electrical connections from the front of
the pressure switch.

Aemo11e two M4 screws holding t he pressure switc h to ·the
electrical cover and remove t he switch.
ldl Replace the new fan pressure switch in the reverse order
and ensure:
i) The three electrical connect1ons are made to t he
following terminals marked on t he pressure switch :
1 NC white, 2NO grey and PCOM brown.
ii\ The flexible tube ends are marked

be connected to t he correct pressure points on the
pressure swit ch . The - pressure point is near the
front and the
