5. Threshold Noise Squelch
Note: The "RX VCO Tune Voltage", "PLL Reference Frequency", and "RX Sensitivity (RX Tune)" must be done before this
alignment is started.
Set the transceiver to CH1 (band center, wide devia-
tion) via the "Channel" box on the "Alignment" win-
dow.
Tune the RF output of the Radio Tester to 481.100 MHz,
then set the output level to –8 dBµ with ±3.0 kHz de-
viation @ 1 kHz tone modulation.
Click the left mouse button on the "Threshold Noise
SQL" button.
Click the left mouse button on the "Start" button. The
CE94 will get the alignment value of Threshold Noise
Squelch and display it in the alignment window.
Press the "OK" button on the window, the value of the
alignment for Noise SQL Threshold Level (wide de-
viation) will be saved in the radio.
Set the transceiver to CH 2 (band center, narrow de-
viation) via the "Channel" box on the "Alignment"
window.
Tune the RF output of the Radio Tester to 481.100 MHz,
then set the output level to –8 dBµ with ±1.5 kHz de-
viation @ 1 kHz tone modulation.
Click the left mouse button on the "Threshold Noise
SQL" button.
Click the left mouse button on the "Start" button. The
CE94 will get the alignment value of Threshold Noise
Squelch and display it in the alignment window.
Press the "OK" button on the window, the value of the
alignment for Noise SQL Threshold Level (narrow de-
viation) will be saved in the radio.
