Installing the active backplane bus
Introduction
The active backplane bus has the following advantages:
• Reaction-free removal and insertion of CP 1543-1 communications modules in the RUN-
Redundant/RUN-Solo system state.
• Module reserves kept ready for later use.
The active backplane bus can be used with the H-CPUs as of firmware version V3.1.
The active backplane bus can be ordered as an accessory/spare part.
Installing the active backplane bus
You can find more information on the active backplane bus (e.g. installing, configuring,
technical specifications) in the Active backplane bus

Installing the standard rail adapter

Introduction
Use the DIN rail adapter to mount the redundant SIMATIC S7-1500R/H-system on the
standardized 35 mm rails.
You order the DIN rail adapter as separate accessories.
Note
Note the following reduced technical specifications regarding mechanical load when
you install the S7-1500R/H modules on the 35 mm DIN mounting rail using the DIN
mounting rail adapter:
Vibration test acc. to IEC 60068-2-6 (sinusoidal)
• 5 Hz ≤ f ≤ 8.4 Hz, constant amplitude 3.5 mm
• 8.4 Hz ≤ f ≤ 150 Hz, constant acceleration 1 g
Duration of vibration: 10 frequency sweeps per axis in each of three perpendicular axes
Shock, tested according to IEC 60068-2-27
• Type of shock: Half-sine
• Shock intensity: 150 m/s
• Direction of shock: 3 shocks each in +/- direction, along each of the 3 perpendicular axes
