PROBLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
No 120 VAC output, 240 VAC
present
No 120 VAC and no 240 VAC
output
Engine will not crank
Engine will crank but not start
Engine shuts down shortly after

If for any reason you do not understand the test procedures or are unable to perform the tests/repairs safely, contact your
Lincoln Authorized Service Facility for technical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed.

POSSIBLE
CAUSE
AUXILIARY OUTPUT
1. Check that the 20 Amp circuit breaker did not
trip. Check the 40 amp breaker.
2. Check that the GFCI has not reset.
4. Inspect the alternator brushes for wear or
corrosion on the slip rings
5. Faulty pc board
1. Check that the 40 amp breaker did not trip

3. Check for voltage to the brushes
5. Check J9 connection
6. Faulty pc board
1. Low or weak battery.
2. Inspect for loose or corroded battery terminals.
3. "Battery circuit" circuit breaker (CB4) has tripped.

1. Out of fuel.
2. Faulty ECU relay
3. Enter correct security PIN if the PIN is enabled.
4. Fuel pump not working
1. Low fuel level.
2. Low oil level.
4. Faulty oil pressure switch.
5. Faulty fuel pump
1. Low fuel
4. Poor quality fuel – fuel has sat for a long time.
5. Verify the correct fuel cap is being used.
6. Spark plugs are fouled.
7. Valves are out of adjustment.

misadjustment have been checked and the
problem persists, Contact your local Lincoln
Authorized Field Service Facility.
