Light Path Diagnostics panel

The following illustration shows the location of the error LEDs and the Remind
button on the Light Path Diagnostics panel. To access the Light Path Diagnostics
panel, you must remove the top cover.
Notes:
1. The Light Path Diagnostics panel is also called the LED card or diagnostics

LEDs

The Light Path Diagnostics panel LEDs are described in the following table.

Diagnostics panel
LED
NMI
Nonmaskable interrupt occurred (for service personnel only).
ISMP
Integrated system management processor (ISMP) failure.
LOG
See the System Error Log in the Configuration/Setup Utility program, or the error log is full.
PCIA
Error occurred on an adapter in PCI bus A (slot 1) or integrated SCSI or video controller on
the system board.
PCIB
Error occurred on an adapter in PCI bus B (slots 2 and 3) or integrated Ethernet controller
on the system board.
PCIC
Error occurred on an adapter in PCI bus C (slots 4 and 5) on the system board.
PCID
Error occurred on an adapter in PCI bus D (slots 6 and 7) on the system board.
DASD
A SCSI backplane or a device connected to a SCSI bus failed.
This LED also illuminates if there is a DASD failure in the SCSI controller.
PS1
The power supply in bay 1 failed.
PS2
The power supply in bay 2 failed.
CPU
One or more microprocessors failed, a microprocessor has been installed in the incorrect
order, or the wrong type of microprocessor has been installed in a socket.
VRM
Error on microprocessor voltage regulator module (VRM), on integrated system board VRM,
or on integrated memory board VRM.
