If your clothes are heavily creased, use the
steam function by pressing the steam burst but-
ton 8. To produce steam, set the temperature
control 3 to ••• or higher.
If the heat-up indicator lamp 5 lights up during
operation, do not press the steam blast button 8
again: wait a few seconds until the heat-up
indicator lamp 5 goes out.
Only repeat pressing the steam burst button 8
until the heat-up indicator lamp 5 lights up or
water drips from the ironing sole 0. Wait until
the heat-up indicator lamp 5 goes out before
initiating another burst of steam.
NOTE
If you press the steam burst button 8 while
the heat-up indicator lamp 5 is illuminated,
the appliance will produce condensation
instead of steam, and water will drip from the
ironing sole 0.
If the water tank runs dry during operation 1,
pull the mains plug 7 before refilling it.
To set the appliance down briefly during opera-
tion, unfold the stand 9 to the front and lean
the appliance on it. To resume use of the appli-
ance, simply fold the stand 9 back to the rear.

After using the steam brush

Set the temperature control 3 to "MIN".
Always disconnect the plug 7 from the mains
power socket after use.
Empty the water tank 1 by opening the filler
opening 2 of the water tank 1, turning the ap-
pliance upside down and swinging it gently.

Cleaning and care

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
Always disconnect the mains plug 7 before
cleaning the appliance. There is a risk of
electric shock! Allow the appliance to cool
down. Risk of burns!
CAUTION
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. These
may damage the surfaces.
Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth only.
Clean the metal parts of the appliance with a
damp cloth and a mild, non-scouring detergent.
To clean the ironing sole 0, wipe it with a
damp cloth and a small amount of dish soap.

Descaling

The appliance must be descaled regularly to main-
tain its maximum performance. The frequency of
descaling depends on the quality of the water and
the frequency with which the appliance is used.
We recommend that you descale the appliance
either once a year or after 50 hours of total use.
We recommend descaling immediately, however,
if you notice that the appliance is generating less
steam.
NOTE
You can do this with a regular descaling
agent containing citric acid.
Also observe the instructions for the descaling
agent.
1) Ensure that the appliance has completely
cooled down.
2) Add the descaling agent to the water tank 1.
3) Insert the plug 7 into a properly installed and
grounded wall socket.
4) To produce steam, set the temperature control 3
to ••• or higher. The heat-up indicator lamp 5
lights up. As soon as the selected temperature
has been reached, the heat-up indicator lamp 5
goes out.
