In order to make any check, repair or operation, first disconnect the unit from the fluids
network.
If maintenance or repair work is to be carried out and a tool with air pressure is used, it must
be depressurised before work begins (without air pressure). Should this safety measure not be
observed, this may lead to malfunctions, personal injury and accidents, which may prove to be
fatal. SAGOLA S.A.U. does not accept any responsibility for the consequences of any non-
compliance with these safety regulations.

06. Advice
If an air compressor is used it must be located away from the work area, in a dry and well-
ventilated area that ensures that the air sucked in is as free from impurities as possible.
The air compressor containing oil for its operation must be in the operative conditions
recommended by the manufacturer, so that excessive amounts of water, oil or impurities are
not introduced in the general air network.
Likewise, the general air network must be in adequate operative conditions, so that
excessive solid particles are not supplied to the compressed air that reaches the unit.
The distance between the air compressor and the filtering unit must be great enough for
the water and oil vapour reaches the filtering unit cold and condensed.
Use antistatic air hoses. Should an antistatic air hose not be available, you must attach the unit
to a ground connection in order to eliminate any static electricity.
The total derivative resistance must be <1 million ohms.
07. Functional Description of the Equipment
The Sagola 4000 air filtration system is the effective solution for filtering compressed air in
professional paint booths for: car repainting, wood, machinery, plastics and industry in general.
In order to choose the filter system we shall install in our shop, we must take into account the
type of air compressor we have, its condition and the quality of the air it is supplying.
In case we are looking for a high quality filtration of particles, water and oil, for painting in a
booth and to get a good finish, the filter 4120 would be suitable for primers, lacquers, clearcoats
and enamels.
To get the highest performance and finishing quality with waterborne paints and High Solid
(HS) products, we may need even more pure air that contains no particles at all. In that case
we have to install a coalescent filter and regulator, that is, the 4220. With this filter system we
will eliminate any solid particle down to 0.01 microns, water aerosols (C>0.01 mg/m3) and oil
aerosols (C>0.01 mg/ m3).
