Preferably, the connection should be effected with a three-pole shielded cable. The cable length between the Mod-
bus controller EM12D-TMB and the Modbus server has to comply with the benchmarks.
Benchmarks:
cable length of RS485 approx. 1200 m approx. 110 Ohm
cable length of RS485 approx. 600 m approx. 220 Ohm
cable length of RS485 approx. 300 m approx. 330 Ohm
Use of the terminals for applications not provided for in the operation manual or improper connec-
tion can lead to malfunction or destruction of the device.
