Troubleshooting Phaser 850 Printers
Black-and-white prints instead of color, cont.
I PC users:
Be sure to use the printer driver on the printer's CD-ROM.
I
Make sure the application you are using is set up to print in color.
I
Blue colors look too purple
I If printed blue colors look too purple, print your document with the Vivid Color color
correction. Refer to the printer's user guide for information on color corrections.
Transparency print quality poor.
I Use only Phaser 850 printer transparency media.
I Make sure that you have selected Standard as the print-quality mode; try setting
Vivid Color as the color correction.

Make sure that the switch on the side of the Standard Paper/Transparency Tray, or on
the High-Capacity Transparency/Label Tray, is set to Transparency.
I Make sure that you have selected in a supported printer driver either Transparency
for the media tray or Manual Feed Transparency (for the manual feed slot).
Print is wrinkled or rippled
I If your paper is smooth, glossy, or coated, try a different type of paper. Use only
supported paper types.
I Use single-sided printing instead of double-sided printing.
