Changing the Hydraulic Fluid (continued)
Manifold
Loosen fitting here
3. Disconnect the 90° fitting from the manifold and allow the tank to drain.
4. When hydraulic fluid stops draining from the tank, connect the 90° fitting to the manifold.
5. Fill the tank with the specified hydraulic fluid.
Use only the hydraulic fluids specified. Other fluids could cause system damage.
6. Install the tank cap.
7. Start the engine, and use all the hydraulic controls to distribute hydraulic fluid throughout
the system.
8. Check for hydraulic-fluid leaks.
9. Check the level.

Checking the Reel-to-Bedknife Contact

Check the reel-to-bedknife contact even if the quality of cut had been acceptable previously.
Note:
Maintenance: Cutting Unit Maintenance
There must be light contact across the full length of the reel and bedknife.
