Chapter 4 Troubleshooting the Printer

Low Ink Indicator LED is blinking

Cause
An ink cartridge is empty, or the
wrong brand of ink cartridge is
installed.
An ink cartridge is not installed
correctly.
The print head is not installed.
The green cartridge lock lever is
not in the locked position.

Suggested Solution
Replace the ink cartridge. Click
the Change button on the Printer
property page, then follow the
instructions.
Open the printer cover and snap
each ink cartridge into position
by pressing the cartridge down
and into the print head.
Remove the print head from the
printer. Remove and reinstall
each cartridge. Be sure to press
the cartridge down and into the
print head.
Install the print head.
Open the printer cover and make
sure the green cartridge lock
lever is positioned toward the
back of the printer.
