    3 General safety WARNING! Birthing Bed is not primarily intended for newborns. For this case there is a special cot which comes as a separate medical device. It is assumed that the position of the baby during breast-feeding is under the constant control of the mother and thus any uncontrollable movement of a newborn on the bed is improbable.

    6 Intended use Birthing bed is designed to be used by mothers-to-be for vaginal delivery. The birthing bed is de- signed to enable different birthing positions in all delivery birthing stages including postpartum pe- riod.     Transport, braking The birthing bed also allows for the transport of a patient. This is, however, subject to the following conditions: WARNING! The birthing bed allows for the transport of a patient by pushing forward using the handle on the back section. Before transporting the patient, disconnect and store the power supply cables and equipotential and other connections properly, to prevent their tearing off.

    9.11 Equipotential coupling The delivery bed is fitted with a coupling for synchronizing the potential with other electrical medical equipment. The coupling is located behind the bed under the lying surface of the bed.
