Reposition Output Implementation Details:

Selections found in the "Reposition Output" menu:

Pause and Resume Printing: these match the Pause and
Resume controls in the status area.
·
Space forward and backwards within a paused job an
operator-specified number of pages
·
Sample print the next page to print after spacing
·
The user can space out of the current job or report to the first
page of the next job if one exists.
·
The user may choose to space forward or backward through
sets, which can be characterized as one complete run (copy)
of a job. For example, if the user is printing 10 sets or copies
of a 100-page job, and the printer has completed 8 sets, the
user may choose to space back to a set that was completed
already; perhaps set 3 of 10.

Alternatively, the user may choose to space forward or
backward through pages within a set or single job. This
ability is particularly useful for spacing within very large jobs.

Reposition Output Limits:

Both N-1 and 1-N Reposition are supported; however, the
GUI displays 1-N status. The intended "long job" target
workflow makes 1-N usage more intuitive and easier to use,
compared with N-1. For example, the GUI displays the
current location and the user may choose to space backward
1000 pages. Therefore, "-1000" must be entered in the
"Pages to Space" field. If N-1 orientation were to be
displayed, the choice "+1000" would achieve the same
results.
· Reposition on finished or subset finished jobs are not
supported.
· Reposition works backward to 2000 total pages, and
repositioning forward has no limits.
· Spacing and sample print functions are allowed only when
the printer is paused.
