Job Size Limitation

Banner Page Message field expanded

24
In DocuSP 3.6 the outQ size limit has been extended to scale
with the hard drive. The outQ size can now be multiple gigabytes.
For example, this allows 2-N printing of a job greater than 20,000
pages. Previous versions of DocuSP restricted the outQ size to
match Solaris operating system memory limits. Recent Solaris
operating system versions support the larger outQ size.
The outQ is a designated area on the DocuSP controller hard
drive that is used to hold a job after it has been processed and
prior to or while it is being sent to the printer. The outQ cannot
be accessed by the customer.
In DocuSP 3.6, the number of characters allowed in the Banner
Page field has been expanded from the previous restriction of
100 characters. In some customer workflows, the banner page
message is used to relay complex job programming instruction
and the 100-character limit was too restrictive.
The Start Message and Account Information fields have also
been expanded from 100 and 12 character limits, respectively.
