Definition
To use this mode, you must have an
answering machine attached to the EXT
jack on the back of the machine. In ANS/
FAX mode, the machine automatically
answers the phone call. If the machine
detects a fax signal, it will receive that fax.
If a fax signal is not detected, the machine
will send the call to the answering machine.
For this function, the LCD display on the
control panel shows ANS/FAX.
You can stack up to 100 sheets of plain
paper or
up to 10 envelopes or other special media in
this feeder. It will automatically feed the
loaded media one at a time.
This refers to the type of printer cable
needed for this machine. It is called a
Centronics parallel interface cable that
supports bi-directional communications
