    CONTAIN-IT Plus Ball Valve Type 546 Pro Operating Instructions Installation Preparation WARNING! Risk of injury due to uncontrolled evasion of the medium! If the pressure was not relieved completely, the medium can evade uncontrolled. Depending on the type of medium, risk of injury may exist.

    CONTAIN-IT Plus Ball Valve Type 546 Pro Operating Instructions Prepare pressure test Procedure Make sure that the red hand lever is in parallel position to the pipe system (OPEN position). Loosen the nuts. Remove the hand lever. Loosen the union nuts of the protective housing. Move them aside.

    For the pressure test of valves in the open position, the same instructions apply as for the pipes (max. 1.5 x PN, and max. PN + 5 bar), but the test pressure in the closed position must not exceed max. 1.1 x PN. ► For detailed information, please see the GF Planning Fundamentals. ► After the leak test: remove the test medium.

    CONTAIN-IT Plus Ball Valve Type 546 Pro Operating Instructions Assembling the CONTAIN-IT Plus Ball Valve Type 546 Pro Procedure Move the protective housing over the ball valve. Plug the stem through the hole in the protective housing onto the ball valve. Please make sure that the stem is in the right position.
  • Page 17 Operating Instructions CONTAIN-IT Plus Ball Valve Type 546 Pro Screw the union bush (left-hand thread!) into the protective housing and tighten it. The use of a pin wrench (00 23 90) is recommended. Reposition the union end and tighten the union nuts on both sides with an adequate wrench .

    For this purpose, the valve must be removed from the piping system. The sealing elements, as well as the ball, stem and union bush can be replaced, see spare parts list of GF Piping Systems.

Kugelhähne mit erkennbarer Funktionsstö- rung dürfen nicht eingebaut werden. Kugelhahn stets in geöffneter Kugelstellung in System bauen. Sicherstellen, dass Druckklasse, Anschlussart und Anschlussabmessungen den Einsatzbedingungen entsprechen. Kugelhahn erst unmittelbar vor Einbau aus Originalverpackung nehmen.

Dabei die richtige Position des Zapfens beachten, siehe Kon- tur des Zapfens und des Kugelhahns. Sicherstellen, dass der Zapfen mit den seitlichen Führungen des Aufsatzes bündig ist.
