5. To stop the charging process, push the unlock
button on the key fob to unlock the charge

vehicle coupler, remove the connector from
the vehicle charge inlet.

Vehicle Charge Inlet
6. Close the inlet door when a Mode 2 Charging
Cable is not connected to the vehicle.
NOTE:
The charging connector must be removed from
the charge inlet within one minute of pushing
the unlock button on the key fob, or the charge
inlet will relock and the vehicle will resume
charging.
It is good practice to keep the ignition in the OFF
position while conducting Mode 2 charging. This
minimizes any additional vehicle loads the
Mode 2 Charging Cable has to support. The
additional electrical loads will extend the high
voltage battery charging time.
In the event the Mode 2 Charging Cable does not
release from the vehicle, a manual release cable
can be found in the engine compartment. Pull the
cable straight out, toward the center of the vehicle
to release the Mode 2 Charging Cable.
