5 Attachment at engine and gearbox
mount
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095- or -VW 313-
♦ Gearbox mount -VW 309A-
♦ Gearbox mount -VW 353-
• Secure torque converter to prevent it falling out during trans‐
port ⇒ page 5 .
• If the gearbox filled with oil on the assembly stand is turned
with the oil sump upwards, then the ventilation holes for the
gearbox housing must be sealed with plugs.
Securing the gearbox to engine and gearbox mount
– Attach the gearbox mount -VW 353--1- to the gearbox and
then fasten it with the gearbox mount -VW 309A- to engine
and gearbox mount -VAS 6095- or -VW 313-.
