MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Clean lint screen before and after each cycle.
Removing accumulated lint:
From inside the dryer cabinet:
Lint should be removed every 2 years or more often,
depending on dryer usage. Cleaning should be done by
a Whirlpool authorized person.
From the exhaust vent:
Lint should be removed every 2 years, or more often,
depending on dryer usage.
Keep area around dryer clear and free from combustible
materials, gas, and other flammable vapors and liquids.
Keep dryer area clear and free from items that would
obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
If dryer does not operate, check the following:
Electrical supply is connected.
Circuit breaker is not tripped or house fuse is not blown.
Door is closed. Listen closely to hear the door switch
activate.
Controls are set in a running or "on" position.
For gas dryers, check that gas supply shut-off valves are set
in open position.
WARNING:
Improper connection of the equipment-
earthing conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. It
is your responsibility to check with a qualified electrician
or service representative if you are in doubt as to whether
the dryer is properly earthed and meets all local codes and
ordinances. Do not modify the plug provided with the dryer:
If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.
