Replacing the Battery

Replace the battery in your computer with a new one if the existing
battery does not hold a charge. If you have a drained battery, replace it
with a charged one.
When the computer is off, it is equipped with enough internal backup
power to maintain memory contents for about 10 minutes each time
you exchange batteries in the unit. This internal backup power begins
when you remove the existing battery and ends when you install a new
battery.
