Pump suction covers

The pump is equipped with 2 suction covers:
1. Cover for suction of sludge water – this cover allows suction of water
containing solid impurities up to 30 mm (Fig. 2).
2. Clean water suction cover – with this cover it is possible to suck only
slightly contaminated water with impurities up to 3 mm. The residual
level is reduced by about 5 cm when using this cover (Fig. 3).
3. Low Suction function – the pump can be used without covers to
achieve complete suction of the water. This function is useful in case of
flooded cellars or other areas. Water should be free of solid impurities.
The residual level reaches only 1 mm (Fig. 4). For this function,
we recommend using a hose check valve.

Replacing the suction cover

Unscrew the cover screw (1) and then release the cover lock (2) by
pulling it away from the pump (Fig. 5). After fitting the new cover,
secure it again with the screw.
ATTENTION! The pump must not be dry operated.
ATTENTION! Risk of running dry – The pump is cooled using the
pumped liquid. In the event of dry running, the pump motor may burn up.
5. MAINTENANCE AND

STORAGE

This submersible pump is approved as a maintenance-free product
undergoing several final inspections.
We recommend you perform regular inspections and maintenance, which
will ensure a long lifetime and continuous performance.
ATTENTION! Disconnect the power source before performing any

maintenance.

Maintenance
If the pump is regularly moved during operation, it should be rinsed out after each use with clean water.
If the pump is permanently installed, the working order of the float switch should be checked every 3 months.
Any fibrous deposits that could deposit themselves inside the pump, should be removed using a water current.
If an excessive amount of debris accumulates in the body of the pump, flush the pump out with clean water.
Storage
Store the thoroughly cleaned out pump in a dry place out of children's reach.
