Operation - oven
The selector switch hes settings lor

for all oven functions where a lempera*
tLire is required, set the friction aelec
tor and tamparature contiol to the
method Of operation required. For lughT
and 'Defrost' set only the setector
switch.
Preheating
As soon as the light above the tempe*
rature control goes out. the food
should be put in the oven.
Rede wHh safety feature
If usir^g the rack when bak]r>g. roastrtg
or grilling, place in the oven such that
the safety bar is at the rear of the
oven. The noo dp runr>ers prevent the
rack from being pulled right out when
it only needs to be partially pulled out.
The rack can then be taken out of
the oven by raising H upwards and
then puing itouL
Important
VS^ien operating the oven on the 'Roof
and floor*. "Floor* or "Intensive bakrng"
setting, do not Brte the oven floor
with aluminium foil This woold block
out the floor heating, artd there is the
danger ol damage to the enamelled
surface.

The buA'In clock/timer can be used to
switch the oven on and off automatl-
caly under time control. The timer can
also be set in advance to operate ihe
oven automaticaly. When an opera¬
tion is pre-selected the oven indicator
Ighi comes on. After the pre-set time
his elapsed, the temperature control
ndlcelor lanip comes on. which lights
up intefrrvttentty when the heating eie-
ment switches In. (This does not apply
to the *Oe(rosl* setting).
Roast Probe
(dependsig on model)
Models H etS and H 868 have the
Roast Probe as an additiorkal function
which works in conjunction with the
clock / timer. It is normaly used with
Ihe "Fan + AulomaUc Roastir^g' set-
tng, (See page 25. and separate ins*
tructions on timer).
